Travel: New-look Marriott hotel in heart of Holyrood gets our vote

The Holyrood area of Edinburgh is one redolent with history. The eponymous Abbey was established in 1128 by King David I, with legend suggesting the king founded it after witnessing a vision of a stag with a shining cross between its antlers. The ruins of said abbey still stand beside the Palace today.
